Abdominal Muscles: Why You Do Not Have "Killer Abs" or a "6 Pack"

Writen by Chris Chew

Ask any woman what is the most attractive part of a male body and most of the time, they will tell you it’s the six pack abs meaning that your abdominal muscles showing up with beautiful definition. The abs is considered by many as a sexy muscle and is a symbol of a fit and healthy man. Women are instinctively drawn towards a man brimming with health and fitness because it is a primitive indication that the man is strong enough to protect her and her brood.

A rippling six pack abs is one such indication. So is it any wonder that in every gym, you will see men of all ages doing crunches, leg raisers and sit ups religiously in the hope of obtaining the much coveted killer abs? Unfortunately, most men will never get to see their abdominal muscle in its glorious splendor. Why? The following fitness tips will show you why.

You may not like what I am going to give to you straight in the face here. But I will give it to you anyway. So here it goes. Listen up carefully. You may do a zillion crunches a day, then another another million leg raisers, but as long as there is a layer of fat covering your tummy, you will never see your abs because it is covered by the blubber of fat. In fact, your waistline will become bigger because you are adding muscles underneath the fats! So instead of having a slim waistline and showing off your rippling abdominal muscle, you will have a bigger waistline and thicker love handles. Now get this straight. There is no such thing as spot reduction! Once the fats are off, your 6 pack abs will show. That I promise you. It is just that simple to display your abs. Lose fat! That’s all.

Late night TV commercials or magazines has been telling you that you can have well defined abs by using this gadget or that electronic gizmo. Do you really believe it is really that simple? If it is so, then everyone will have that rippling washboard six pack abs in no time, won’t they? Then why isn’t that so? Because it doesn’t work that way. To lose fat effectively and permanently for your abdominal muscles to show, you must include a mildly deficit calorie restriction diet, frequent cardio workouts and strength training with weights to build muscle so as to raise your metabolism in order to lose weight and burn fat naturally. Build muscles to burn fat permanently as muscles use up more calories from your food for energy. Lifting weights will also give you a well toned body and help your abs to show. Forget about any fad diets or popping slimming pills . These may work initially but in the long run, they are bound to fail.

So if you want to build an attractive and desirable abdominal muscle, start a mildly caloric deficit diet and put on your running shoes and in no time you can strut confidently displaying your abdominal muscles proudly. You won’t ever want to put on your shirt again.

Are You Suffering From Ulcers?

Writen by Jeff Foster

Stomach pain that is associated with ulcers knows no boundaries. They are capable of afflicting any age, and either gender at any time.

Although generally not initially considered a serious health condition, ulcers certainly should not go untreated. Peptic ulcers are lesions located in the stomach, the esophagus, or the duodenum that left untreated can lead to very serious complications such as a perforated ulcer or even a bleeding ulcer that could become life threatening.

Essentially what happens with an ulcer is the thin protective mucus lining that protects the intestinal lining breaks down and allows bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori to attack the tissue and cause a sore to develop. So, the combination of the Helicobacter Pylori bacteria and natural stomach acids set the stage for a peptic ulcer to develop.

Stomach ulcers are extremely common in today’s society. Each year millions of Americans are diagnosed with some form and severity of an ulcer – with research indicating that smoking, caffeine, and alcohol consumption certainly being heavy contributors to this disorder.

The warning signs of the onset of an ulcer are a sharp burning sensation in your stomach and even up into your esophagus. Many times the pain will surface at some time after a meal. Remember, consuming food will trigger digestive fluids (acids) that will come in contact with the sore (ulcer) and begin causing some level of discomfort and pain.

Over the counter relief in the form of antacids have long been the choices for temporary relief from the pain of a stomach ulcer. Although the antacids can help neutralize the acidic fluids that your body naturally produces and provide some relief, be advised that these same antacids can also affect the absorption of other medications. Because of this make sure you consult with your doctor before you consider embarking on any self treatment program.

Ulcers are no different from any other chronic or persistent pain you may being experiencing. If this is the case with your stomach pain, see your doctor. Certainly the passing of blood through a bowel movement is a huge red flag (that could be a symptom several health problems) that you should address immediately.

Regardless, of what you think may or may not be causing your stomach pain, take the time early to consult with your doctor. Today, the vast majority of ulcers does not require any type of invasive medical procedure and can be controlled or even eliminated through diet or doctor prescribed medication. But the key is early evaluation and diagnosis.

How Exercise Can Help with Anti Aging

Writen by Zach Thompson

In our quest for the fountain of youth people have taken up a new form of treatment, Anti-Aging Clinics. Here you can get injections of human growth hormone HGH and injections of nutrient supplements, however a simpler and perhaps easier away to do this is by changing your diet and exercising. is means that with some simple exercise you will not even need to go to an

Strength training has been proven to help the body naturally produce HGH. The more you train the more your body produces HGH. Strength training is taking exercises to specifically strengthen certain muscles. You can do this by spending 20 minutes a day 3 times a week at your local gym or fitness center. Or if you have some simple equipment you can do this at home. Just some simple squats can stimulate the body to make HGH and help you lose weight as well. It will take about 24-48 hours for your body to build up HGH.

Research has found that for every hour you work out your body will make $10,000 worth of beneficial chemicals that it needs. Th Anti Aging Clinic your body will produce the chemicals naturally.

Try to strength train on a regular basis. As well as getting the HGH you will also improve bone mass and get more oxygen to your body tissues and organs. This will help them function better. You will feel better when you lose weight in this way as well. This is what the HGH injections at the Anti aging clinic will do for you. However nothing beats the natural treatment that your body can do for you.

So instead of jumping on the bandwagon and running to the nearest Anti Aging clinic, give yourself a break and let your body do it the natural way. Strength training coupled with diet will go a long way towards achieving your goal of not only a great looking body but also very possibly prolonging your life.

As well as exercise try to adjust your diet to a healthier one with more fruits especially berries and whole grain cereals. Try to add some fish to your diet (not shellfish) to make a complete diet. Cut down red meats, salt, fats and refined sugar and you will find your body rewards you as you feel better and have more energy. This change of diet coupled with strength exercises will also help you to lose and keep off those pounds.

You can also add natural nutritional supplements to your diet to ensure you are getting enough of the essential nutrients. These, when taken at a proper level will also help the anti aging process.

A Guide to Electric Wheelchairs

Writen by Kent Pinkerton

A wheelchair is a mobility device that enables a sick or a disabled person to move. It’s basically a chair mounted on wheels, which can be propelled either manually or electrically. Wheelchairs propelled electronically are known as electric wheelchairs.

Electric wheelchairs are powered by motors. They can be used indoors and outdoors and cost at least $1,500. Depending on the kind and extent of use, there are several kinds of wheelchairs available on the market. Some features to consider when buying a wheelchair are the weight and size of the person using it, convenience of both indoor and outdoor use, the chair’s weight capacity, power source, warranty and cost.

Electric wheelchairs are generally used by people who have limited or no mobility due to many different ailments. Some people can be required to use a wheelchair because of old age, paralysis, weight, degenerating muscle diseases, broken or weak bones or other illnesses. Electric wheelchairs are easy to use because they are powered by batteries and can be controlled by a joystick. They are also highly maneuverable as they can turn 360 degrees in one spot. They are also very quiet but they require more maintenance than manual wheelchairs.

Electric wheelchairs are now being designed according to the users’ requirements. Advanced technologies like spring suspension, pneumatic wheels and hydraulic systems are being applied to increase the wheelchair’s strength and durability. There are basically three types of electric wheelchairs, including rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, and mid-wheel drive.

Rear-wheel drive wheelchairs are the traditional and most common type. They are faster then front-wheel models but are not as flexible while turning as the front-wheel drive and mid-wheel drive wheelchairs.

Front-wheel drive wheelchairs are becoming more popular because they are more flexible and maneuverable. They are slightly slower than the rear-wheel drive wheelchairs because of this.

Mid-wheel drive wheelchairs are the tightest-turning wheelchairs. However, they tend to be slightly unsteady while stopping and starting.

Other types of electric wheelchairs are based on weight, ranging from ultra lightweight to heavy-duty wheelchairs; transport wheelchairs; tilt-in-space wheelchairs; wheelchairs with an elevating seat; rough terrain wheelchairs; pediatric wheelchairs and specialty wheelchairs, among others.

Various options are available for almost every part of an electric wheelchair. The wheelchair frame can be foldable or rigid while the wheels can be front-wheel or free wheel. Various foot and armrests are also available including, detachable, swing-away or elevating. The footplates and armrests can be customized to adjust for both angle and height.

When purchasing a wheelchair the above considerations are only the start of choosing the right design. Other important considerations are the dimensions of the chair’s backrest and whether it will be foldable and/or able to recline; the dimensions and upholstery of the chair’s seat; automatic or hand brakes; the type of controls; kerb climbers and whether or not the wheelchair will be outfitted with lights. Other options that can be attached to electric wheelchairs include a tray, crutch holders, seat belts, bags, drink holders and anti-tip bars.

Are HMO’s Healthy For You?

Writen by Nick Arrizza, M.D.

Over the last 15 years there has been a cry to curb the costs of health care and from this cry has arisen the HMO or Health Maintenance Organization. This entity which is more common in the US has in the last 5 years also begun to creep into Canada.

The philosophy behind HMO’s is that efficient business practices can help curb health care costs and by doing so also improve the quality of healthcare.

Is this however actually happening?

Well let’s take a closer look.

Physicians who work in HMO’s are caught, in a manner of speaking, between a “rock and a hard place”.

That is they are caught between maintaining costs of providing services below a certain defined threshold while providing the top quality healthcare demanded by their patients. Their ability to achieve this feat ultimately becomes a measure of their performance and is reflected in their income.

In today’s litigious healthcare environment the cost of personal liability insurance has risen significantly across the profession in North America. Most of these costs are born by individual physicians.

As conventional medicine rarely attempts to uncover and treat the underlying causes of illness, rather it aims at symptom control, most patients are essentially placed “on ice” until their problem festers and re-erupts in some other more serious form. The patient then presents once again to the HMO physician who is once again faced with the task of “hiding” the problem.

Each time that “symptom management” is attempted more invasive and harmful treatments need to be employed. These treatments are also increasingly more expensive. Throughout this process the patient is under the delusion that because they are receiving such expensive treatment, supported by expensive and advanced technology, they are receiving top quality healthcare.

In fact this is far from the truth.

What is actually happening is that they are being made progressively more ill and their financial resources are being progressively being depleted.

It’s interesting that many individuals are awakening to the truth of what is going on and are beginning to take greater responsibility for their own health by educating themselves about prevention.

Prevention is about proper nutrition, regular exercise, awareness and avoidance of toxic chemicals (i.e. environmental, hygiene products, drugs, alcohol, caffeine, tobacco, EMF’s, etc.), regular and ongoing detoxification routines that cleanse the liver, use of therapeutic grade essential oils that boost immune system function, adequate supplementation with minerals & vitamins, regular de-stressing through approaches such as meditation, yoga, MRP, chi gong etc, and so on.

Many will say that they don’t have the time or money for such preventative approaches. Well in the long run I would say that it is actually a much cheaper and healthier approach than the conventional one. The only thing that is stopping you from adopting it is fear.

Acne Solution From a Pill

Writen by Sandra Wellman

Most people believe the only way to cure their acne problem is from the outside. Well, you definitely need to keep your skin clean, but often, acne sufferers scrub too hard or use harsh chemicals to try to clean deep. This can actually make matters worse. Simply clean your face at least twice per day with a mild cleanser, especially after sweating. I keep a bottle of astringent in the shower b/c I don’t like cleaning my face with soap like some people (my husband). Soap seems to leave a residual, as far as I’m concerned. And women, I know you won’t like this, but try to wear as little makeup as infrequently as you can get away with or put up with. It just clogs your pores. When you do wear it, make sure you clean your face before you go to bed, even if it’s late. Just do a quick job!

Home remedies for acne are much better than prescriptions, especially the ones with side effects like Accutane

Germs Don’t Cause Disease, You Do

Writen by Dr. Randy Wysong

We once had an in-office day care. It was complete with a classroom, an area sectioned off for indoor play, kitchen and outside playground equipment. There was a full-time monitor/teacher and lots of little munchkins around the office interrupting us during the course of the day.

It was healthy and nice for moms and dads to be able to interact with their children during the day. If you own a business, think about doing this. If you are an employee, get together with coworkers to see what you can do to help the business you work for get one established. We operated ours for almost a decade, until most of the youngsters grew up. Several of them have even come back to work with us as young adults. We became like a home away from home.

I was the official sliver surgeon for all the kids. Our office is in a wooded area so almost every week there was a sliver drama. That’s when I got to perform my magic with terrifying instruments like a scalpel, forceps, needle and magnifying glasses. My little patients tried to be real brave and fight back tears, but their dilated pupils and clammy trembling hands revealed the true life threatening state they found themselves in. All the other kids were a wide-eyed and awed audience for these major surgical events. It was just like The Learning Channel surgery programs, but with a Sesame Street flair and a little less blood and guts. Once my patient’s survival was assured, there were lots of hugs and thanks. Then off they would all skip, relieved that their friend had survived one of life’s dire and perilous calamities. They could be heard around the building all abuzz with, “Did it hurt?” “I saw the blood!” “You were brave!” “How big was it?” “Glad that wasn’t me!”

Actually, everyone would be pretty brave about this except my own kids. To listen to them when I am removing a sliver not even visible except with magnification, you would swear I was working on a 2 x 4 with vice grips or sawing their limb off with a chain saw. No need to be brave when it’s Dad who’s working on you.

As I would work on sweaty, grubby little hands, I wondered how kids ever survive childhood with all the filth. If germs were really the true cause of disease, how could any of us survive? Do we really think washing our hands with antiseptic soap, disinfecting toilet seats, doorknobs and telephones, wearing surgeon-type face masks on the streets and getting vaccinated keeps all of the germs at bay?

One E. coli bacterium can produce four billion offspring by the next morning. Viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa and parasites are ubiquitous throughout nature in air, water, on surfaces, skin, food and ground. They are microscopic and in countless numbers. Just one gram of soil contains over a billion microorganisms. If you shoveled just one cubic meter of dirt, 35 pounds of it would be these microscopic critters. Some are pathogens; others are necessary for our survival. Without bacteria to consume garbage, we would have long ago been smothered under the refuse nature and we create.

Good bacteria (probiotics) on our skin and in our mouths and intestinal tract actually help thwart the bad bacteria. Disease causing pathogens can even exert a beneficial effect by stimulating immunity. That is the principle of vaccines. The thing that it seems science is trying to achieve – no bacteria at all – with obsessive disinfection and sterilization is neither possible nor beneficial.

For example, scientists attempting to rid chickens of salmonella (food-borne pathogens) tried a sterile environment. The result was that mortality increased because the chicken’s immune system could not develop properly without exposure to the pathogens it needed to be protected against. Germ-free chickens were fine so long as there were absolutely no germs around. But since that would never be possible, once exposed to the pathogens they would easily succumb to disease and die. The solution was to feed baby chicks the salmonella infested droppings of the mother hens. After all the sterility failed, they found the cure was in the filthy poop! (Wysong, R. L. Salmonella Enteritidis Infection From Eggs, Wysong e-Health Letter, September 1999.)

We could never sterilize the world if we wanted to. If we did it would result in our demise. The microbe paranoia serves primarily the interests of drug, vaccine and disinfectant manufacturers. (I am not suggesting reasonable hygiene is not in order.)

I hear you, “Yeah, but we would be having the plague and other epidemics if it weren’t for medicine.” Contrary to popular belief, diseases like polio, measles and typhus were not conquered by humans. Note in the accompanying graphs that the vaccine or chemotherapeutic agent that is credited with vanquishing the scourges was introduced after the majority of the decline in the disease had already occurred! (Why Modern Medicine is the Greatest Threat to Health http://www.wysong.net/health/hl_884.shtml) It would be like me taking credit for dropping the tide by bucketing water out of the ocean as the tide was receding. Infectious diseases have a natural ebb and flow and so does the general immunity of the population. That is the reason epidemics decline regardless of human intervention.

We can’t even eradicate the mosquito, a creature which we can see and for which we can examine every life stage in detail. How are we going to eradicate microorganisms, which, if crowded side-by-side, would number in the trillions to occupy the space of one mosquito?

Look at the creatures in the wild co-existing, and even thriving in what we would consider filth. Rabbits eat their stool, vultures eat rotten carcasses, and dogs will roll in the most putrid, decaying material they can find and then lick themselves clean and offer the perfumery to their friends to lick as well.

Children constantly have their fingers in their mouths after wallowing on the floor, playing in the toilet or exploring the garbage pail. We adults aren’t exactly sterile in our habits either. Up until relatively recently a bath once a year was considered plenty in western society. That or less is common elsewhere in the world to this day. Billions wipe themselves with their fingers (usually with the left hand, a good reason to shake with the right) and yet live in societies that rank higher on health scores than nations with bidets, perfumed toilet paper and disinfectant aerosols and soaps.

Don’t buy the simplistic germ-view of how we get disease. True, certain pathogenic organisms can be associated with disease, but likewise so are crows and buzzards associated with road kill. The buzzard is not responsible for the road kill, neither are the pathogenic organisms responsible for disease. They are both opportunists. They wait until the prey is weakened and then they dive in. In microcosm, infectious disease is like the carnivore-prey drama occurring throughout nature. Predators always choose the easiest meal: the unfit, the weak and disabled.

We are not victims. Disease does not strike us. The opposite view that disease is a result of virulent microorganisms lurking in our environment waiting to attack us, organisms we can’t even see much less understand, makes us dependent on experts who have a vested interest in our illness. No matter how much money we give them, they will not protect us from the dark germ forces in spite of their Star Wars antiseptics, vaccinations, antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.

We are in control of our own defenses. We either create the setting for health or the meal for pathogens. Our choice.

Cancer Mesothelioma — It Is A Born Killer

Writen by Fred Lindel

What is mesothelioma?

The pericardium is the mesothelial tissue that surrounds and acts as a safeguard to the heart. The pleural mesothelium membrane covers the lungs and chest cavity and peritoneum is the mesothelial tissue that enfolds the organs in the abdominal cavity.

What is actually cancer mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that affects the mesothelium, a dual layered membrane with which our chest, lungs, abdomen and the heart is wrapped safely.

Cancer Mesothelioma can damage any of these cells, although pleural mesothelioma is more common; it metastasizes and at an advanced stage the disease reach to the other parts of the body like the lymph nodes, lungs, chest wall, or abdominal organs.

How is cancer mesothelioma caused?

Though asbestos exposure is the primary reason in 70% to 80% of the cases, mesothelioma can be caused by other means, like exposure to the chemical zeolite that is also present in asbestos.

Asbestos has become part of our daily life being in cement, brake linings, roof shingles, flooring products, textiles, and insulation. The asbestos fibers take their toll by going into our windpipe and settling in the internal organs causing the formation of carcinogenic tumors.

The overall scenario regarding cancer mesothelioma

Though there is a ban on certain asbestos products, around 1000 people in France and above 2000 people in the U.S are faced with this nightmare each year.

Mostly, workers from shipyards, asbestos mines and mills are prone to this mishap, due to a constant exposure to asbestos. However, it takes 30 to 50 years for the disease to surface and show symptoms though they are not always accurate.

Cancer mesothelioma is proving more than a menace and the average person live for 12-24 months; the earlier it is detected, the better is the cure process.

The recent picture

Today, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have put restrictions towards maintaining acceptable levels of asbestos exposure in the workplace. People who work with asbestos are geared up with individual protective equipment to lower their risk of exposure. Even the family members of the workers are prone to the disease, so they are advised to take a shower before leaving for home.

Symptoms of cancer mesothelioma

- Feeling out of breath and pain in the chest due to an accretion of fluid in the pleura

- Peritoneal mesothelioma comprises weight loss and abdominal pain and a bulging abdomen due to accumulation of fluid

- Bowel obstruction, blood clotting abnormalities, anemia, and fever

- Pain, trouble swallowing, or swelling of the neck or face

However, a registered medical practitioner can diagnose you correctly.

Diagnosis of cancer mesothelioma

Diagnosis commences with an assessment of the patient’s medical history, as well as any history of asbestos exposure. A complete physical examination may be performed, including:

- X-rays of the chest or abdomen

- A CT (or CAT) scan or an MRI may also be useful. A CT scan is a sequence of comprehensive pictures of areas inside the body created by a computer linked to an X-ray machine

- In an MRI, a strong magnet connected to a computer is used to draw meticulous pictures of areas affected by cancer mesothelioma inside the body. These pictures are viewed on a monitor and can also be printed

- A biopsy regarding the taking out of a sample tissue for examination is needed to verify a diagnosis of mesothelioma. Types of biopsy depending on the location of the tumor are thoracoscopy, peritoneoscopy

Lastly, the stage of the disease is important to the doctor for the correct diagnosis.

Cancer mesothelioma treatment

Treatment of cancer mesothelioma yields results depending on the site of the cancer, the phase of the disease, and the patient’s physical condition. The usual treatments for cancer mesothelioma are surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Occasionally, these treatments are combined.

Surgery is an effective way to remove tumor but the age of the person matters. Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are good ways to ward off the symptoms.

Often, high-end drugs are given to the patient to reduce the fluid formation in body.

Thus, it is better for the workers to get a medical check up at equal intervals and be aware of its symptoms. If a patient is diagnosed with cancer mesothelioma at the earliest stage, the treatments might do wonders for him.

Cleansing The Body Without Knowledge Can Be Dangerous

Writen by Fred Fishburne

Do we need to cleanse our bodies? If we were living in a perfect heaven on earth world the answer would be No, but because we do live in a toxic environment the answer a big YES. The truth is, we cannot cleanse our bodies internally. Our bodies must cleanse themselves with proper nutrients. Our responsibility is to supply the needed nutrients.

The body has seven elimination channels: Lungs, Liver, Skin, Kidneys, Colon, Lymph, and Blood. When choosing a cleanse make sure it uses all seven of these channels.

The most important thing that the body needs to cleanse is PURE WATER. Not supplying the body ample amounts of water (at least 8 glasses per day) is like washing a load of dirty clothes in a washing machine by adding only 2 cups of water. What would happen? Not only would the clothes not be cleansed, but they would also be damaged. Now you see why water is so important to a healthy energized body.

When cleansing the body it is very important to do a full body cleanse, not just a colon cleanse. Cleansing the colon without cleansing the rest of the body would be like changing the oil in your automobile with out changing the oil filter. Again, damage would be done to the internal working parts.

Are you a candidate for cleansing? Answer the questions below to find out.

Are you tired, sick, overweight, can’t sleep? Do you have problems with, joint pain, headaches, vision, bloating, gas, constipation, bad breath, body odor, chronic infection, or allergies? Are you taking medication, working in health care, working with cleansing agents? Do you smoke, use synthetic vitamins, perfumes or body products or eat dead processed foods? If you answered yes to some of these, then you are a good candidate for cleansing.

Things you want to consider when cleansing:

Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
Eat whole foods while cleansing.
Eat a minimum of 35 grams of fiber daily.
Do not eat red meat while cleansing, eat more cold water fish.
Eat less dairy and no refined carbohydrates, sugar and saturated fats.
Eat small meals more frequently through out the day. (This puts less stress on the liver.)
Take a fish oil supplement to help lubricate the colon.
Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
Do not drink caffeine.
Do not alcohol.
Avoid being hungry while cleansing.
Avoid vigorous exercise. Allow plenty time for rest.

Some good side effects that you should NOT be concerned about would be, increased bowel movements, headaches, nausea, skin rashes and temporary lack of energy. Toxins and parasites leave the body through the mouth, nose, skin, colon and urinary track so do not be surprised to see strange things happening in those areas of the body while cleansing. Happy cleansing!

Adolescent Acne

Writen by Kismet Johnson

Producers of acne medications oftentimes focus on teen acne more closely than any other acne; other types of acne, such as adult acne and baby acne, tend to get less attention than acne pertaining to teens. Contrary to popular knowledge, there is another type of acne as well- adolescent acne. Although most would consider this to be the same as teenagers, the adolescent group includes preteens and those slightly younger as well.

The adolescent years are a time when appearance is everything. Youngsters who suffer from adolescent acne tend to be picked on by their peers and, as a result, may suffer from low self esteem and/or depression. During these pivotal years, most will experience at least a mild form of adolescent acne- whether it is an occasional pimple or an ever-present gang of whiteheads, acne has affected almost everyone during their adolescent years. Young people often wonder, “Why am I having breakouts?” The answer is oftentimes a simple one. Constantly changing hormones is usually the culprit. Once an adolescent reaches a certain age, the hormones become balanced and the skin condition usually subsides.

There are several easy ways to control, or even get rid of, annoying adolescent acne. One simple way is to keep the skin as clean as possible. This minimizes the amount of oil, which causes acne to form, that collects in the pores.

Next, another way to combat adolescent acne is for the youngsters to adopt a healthy eating pattern. Fruits, vegetables, and a lot of water keep the skin hydrated and also allow the body to rid itself of harmful toxins which could cause breakouts.

Lastly, in conjunction with healthy eating habits, young people can use over the counter products to help minimize adolescent acne. Products with a gentle exfoliants help to unclog pores as well as remove any dead skin still left on the face and other acne prone parts of the body. Adolescents must be careful not to overuse these products though; doing so can aggravate the skin and cause more breakouts.
